I started The Chicago Financial Planner blog to share my knowledge and experience as a financial advisor with my readers. My goal is to provide ideas to readers in the hope of guiding them to take the actions needed to plan for the financial future they desire for themselves and their families.

I am looking forward to meeting and learning from my financial blogger colleagues. It will great to meet the people behind some of the fantastic blogs represented at FINCON13.

I also provide investment advice to the sponsors of 401(k) plans and non-profit foundations and endowments. I am a fee-only advisor and a member of NAPFA.

When not advising clients or blogging I am an avid sports fan, especially college and pro football. My wife Kyung and I have been married for 29 years and we have three children. I enjoy spending time with my family above all else.
